Frenchman Peeved With Google

The Connexion, France’s English-Language Newspaper, reported today that a Frenchman who was caught relieving himself in his own garden by a Google Street View camera has been ordered by the courts to pay Google’s legal fees of €1,200.

The 50 year old French man from the small village of Angers in Maine-et-Loire, took a case against Google France, after the image of his al fresco urination was published on Google Maps. The man claimed that he was made a laughing stock of in his village after the image was spotted. Despite Google agreeing to remove the image from Street View, the man still lost his case because he took the case against the wrong company. The image was published by Google USA and not Google France! ‘Tant pis’ (bad luck).
